About Pathfinch
Pathfinch LLC is a software company in California, formed in . We build our own products and take on software, cloud, and DevOps consulting for other organizations. Both kinds of work get the same care.
What we do
Products
We design, build, and run software of our own. The first is TripBridge™, a temporary, moderated chat room for school field trips. A teacher opens a room, students join with a short code and a username, and the room closes when the trip ends. It is a web app first and will live at tripbridge.chat, with a native Android app in progress and an iOS app planned.
Consulting
We also work for other organizations as a software consultancy: web and mobile applications, APIs and integrations, cloud environments on AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure, the DevOps, security, and observability work around them, and the ongoing care of software they already run. Engagements are scoped in writing before work starts, and clients work directly with the engineer building their software.
How we work
Three habits that show up in everything we ship.
Minimum data, capped retention
We collect the least we can and keep it for the shortest time that still does the job. In TripBridge that means no student accounts, message content encrypted while stored, and every trip’s data deleted within 90 days of the trip ending. The same instinct shapes our consulting work.
Accessible by default
This site is built to meet WCAG AA contrast in both light and dark themes, to show keyboard focus clearly, and to work without JavaScript. TripBridge is held to the same contrast and keyboard-focus standards.
Direct by design
There is no sales team and no ticket queue, and we would rather do a few things well than many things adequately. Pathfinch is founder-run: the person you email is the person who builds the software.
